This is the second adoption documentation that I have done for this amazing family. I have to say – it is such a cool experience when you can walk into a room and you can feel just how grateful these parents are to be blessed with their three girls. I do believe when one has to navigate the perils of the infertility world – it gives you the chance to really ask yourself – HOW BADLY DO I WANT TO BE A MOTHER. Is your desire to be a mother – bigger then your fear of not becoming a mother. Then when you face down that fear and you finally get to the light at the end of the table and step over that threshold of parenthood – you appreciate your role in a way you might not have otherwise. You recognize that being a mother is a privilege and raising these children is a gift.
Ashley – I have loved getting to know your amazing family. I truly believe that one of the greatest things I think about being a photographer is that I am telling this sweet little girls story – a story that she won’t remember but was such a huge part of her life. When she gets older and looks through her album she will see and feel just how loved she was. To me – that is my WHY.
