So I stepped outside of my comfort zone and tried my hand at a senior photo shoot.  I figured how can I truly decide what direction I want to take my photography if I don’t try out all the different type of shoots I could do.  I was blown away by the two beauties that stepped out of the car. Seriously … I KNOW I didn’t look that fantastic at 17. Two best friends about to start a new and fantastic chapter in their lives. I am so glad I decided to take this shoot! With the help of Kellyn Friedman and Jessica Brady – Holding reflectors, posing the girls, watching out for too much cleavage or bra straps. I have to say we ROCKED this shoot!

Bring on the Seniors if they can all produce these type of images! The last photo cracked me up.. who says you can’t get a lifestyle photo during a senior session.

Leslies {Sneak PeeK}

A sure sign that someone liked their shoot is when they hire you for the second shoot . Lesley hired me when I was first starting out  - I loved the way the first shoot went and I really loved the second shoots outcome. Despite a looming thunderstorm – we went ahead with the shoot – and I am so glad we did. The clouds parted for the first hour of the shoot and even when the clouds rolled in we were able to get some amazing photos. Here is a smattering of my faves!

EASTER

April 25, 2011

Since we are so far from our own family – I feel so fortunate to be surrounded by friends that I consider family. We met up with the Pierottis for a little Easter grub at the Londoner. Beautiful Bella still had on her Easter  dress…… and I had my trusty Camera around my neck ( as always) … so off we went to go snap a couple of photos. These were taken right outside the restaurant….

BEWARE … CHEESY POST COMING UP….

Sometime I feel like my life has finally become everything I have ever dreamed for it to be ( do you hear the cheesy song montage in the distance). ..Almost like the fog of all of my trials and tribulations has finally lifted – and the world has shifted to a different and more fantastic place.   When my son was born with hemophilia – I remember feeling like.. “Was this beginning.. was life about to be filled with consistent sadness and dispair?”.  But as I sit up here in the Mankey (as my daughter likes to refer as the mancave) – watching Tangled with my family. I can’t imagine that my life could be any more perfect.. Yes- my  Mrs. Em is absolutely exhausting (tonight she almost got in a bar fight with a 60 year old man… no seriously…he was not happy that she was in the restaurant)  - My son – has a port and has to be infused every other day for the rest of his life.  My Mother-in-law  has been battling  bone cancer for 3 years. She is our Rock ,our place of peace, she is our strength. I can’t imagine a time where she won’t be here to provide us with the guidance that we still desperately  rely on…… Don’t even get me started on this crazy desire  I have for baby #3. ..But here I sit in the mankey – happy and blessed. It doesn’t make sense – but I guess that is what true happiness is.

6 MONTHS!

April 18, 2011

It’s  Liz LaBianca Photographies 6 month Anniversary! What a crazy whirlwind the last 6 months have been. To think that when I started L.L.P – I thought I knew everything about photography………ummmmm…….wait a minute… you mean I shouldn’t have my child in the sun to get a great picture….uhhh… what exactly is catchlights??  You get the point. With that said – No one had any idea of what has been brewing in me for years.  This love of photography is the core of who I am.  Yes… there were some Naysayers out there…. “Oh ,come on Liz,  just because you want to start a photography business it doesn’t make you a photographer” (yes, I know who you are ..wink,wink) Little did they know what I had in my backpocket….PASSION…DRIVE……DETERMINATION! Once I realized I knew NOTHING about photography,  I knew I had my work cut out for me. I set the bar high for what I wanted to achieve…..and with the support of friends and family I can say with confidence the L.L.P is about to take off.

So THANK YOU to the following people for believing in me:

Dana Bove – You have been the most supportive best friend a woman could have!! For years you have told me I should start this business… thanks for believing in me. LOVE YOU and can’t wait to see you this summer!

My father -in -law – The best father a girl could have ! You were always my biggest fan. ..I treasure our relationship in all of its country music, handyman glory.

Mimi Parks, Jenny Rackers, Sue Wolski… You guys listened to me talk incessantly about my business, you were my first customers and paid me (when you didn’t have to because  you believed in L.L.P) You will never know how much your support meant to me. Babysitting my children .. happily, so that I could do a shoot. Building me up when I was a little sensitive. Putting myself and my art out there was a hard thing to do , but you always made me feel like I was amazing. FOREVER indebted to you guys!

My 2010 Holiday Clients….. You hired me ! you believed in me! You kept me out in the field shooting your beautiful children – Every shoot I did I learned a new lesson. In a world where photographers are around every corner… you hired me. Just by hiring me , I was forced to become a better photographer. MARGARITAS on me this summer!!!!

And last but not least….my man Dan!! When I wanted to start this business – I know you couldn’t have understood how much this meant to me.  You have always been my partner and we are a team – but when my business started to take -off  you took on more responsibility so that I could study, learn and build L.L.P.  I know you are my soul mate – but with all of our curve balls and life changes you have always stepped up to the plate with a smile.  To know that our kids have an example of what true goodness and kindness is… now that is what it’s all about. We are blessed because of you! You are our EVERYTHING!

CHEERS TO THE NEXT 6 MONTHS!!!

L.L.P circa Oct. 18 2010

L.L.P April 18th, 2011

Oh I don’t even know where to start with this amazing family. From the second we started talking on the phone- I felt like I knew the mom for years… so it was no surprise that when I finally met her I actually felt like I was part of their family. Jack and Grace were such amazing children. What a blessing it was to meet the Gambles.

This was my first family shoot using an assistant and it made a world of difference. I was  able to interact with the family the way that I have always wanted to. Thanks Sue Wolski for being my knight in shining armor!!

Every boy is a superhero

April 18, 2011

Sweet Ollie – has already leaped tall buildings in his short little life – With the inability to see the world like you and I do – he is our superhero  as he teaches us to see the world  as he sees it. Tonight his Dad and his brothers taught him to fly.

Emerson being Emerson

April 16, 2011

Today she was two…nothing more, nothing less… dirty, messy hair…and happy. These will be the photos that will make me smile when she grows up. It won’t be the ones where she was dressed in the cute outfit. It will be the ones that bring me back to where our lives were at that time. My Emerson – My heart.

Charlotte

April 13, 2011

I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful baby today. I invited fellow photographer extraordinaire Kellyn Freidman to join me on this shoot . It was so nice having an extra pair of hands to help pose this sweet bundle of perfection. Charlotte is just as gorgeous as her big sister Addison. Here is the sneak peek from todays shoot.
