Racker Family Take 3!!

September 25, 2011

OK- my goal for Season 2 of  L.L.P is to become a more consistant blogger – So if you have done a shoot with me in the past and it was not blogged about. … I am sorry – I have been blogged down  (get it… bogged down)  in just building my business it was hard to keep up with my clients blog updates. BUT this year – I vow to be better…hmmmm… maybe I will just simply try and be better – vowing makes it seem so much more serious.

So here it goes – second shoot of the season and second blog of the season

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Oh how I love the Rackers!! This was my third photo shoot with the Racker Family. She has  been by my side since the beginning of Liz LaBianca Photography- ALWAYS building me up. As I mentioned before – starting this business was a VERY emotional journey for me and having solid friends surrounding you with love was the best anecdote when my confidence  was down.  This shoot was just a mini-shoot for the kids and in true L.L.P form I had her meet me at the crack of dawn to  take advantage of that GORGEOUS golden light.  I love how much time she puts into planning her outfits for our shoots – I think that she has such a gift for stylizing outfits for shoots and for helping find the cutest props! Love you Jenny Rackers and I love that your kids were so excited about our shoot!  They were amazing!!

While I was in California – I had the opportunity to meet up with an old friend from high school. Jenn and I used to tear it up back in the day  - stirring up more trouble then I would like to remember. …actually I probably don’t remember  1/2 the trouble  - which is probably a good thing. What a treat to get together  so many years later and meet her gorgeous son Luca. As she got out of the car – she warned me that he was shy…although, I saw anything but shyness! With these beautiful brown eyes and bright smile , we hung out and talked about life… actually we talked about Thomas the train – which in his world is his life. Thanks Jenn for hiring me to capture moments of your beautiful boy. Hope to see you on my next trip out west!

With every photo shoot- I try and come up with something to set it apart from the other shoots. What I have come to realize is that some of the best props end up being something that I can not buy – To me a photo isn’t about being a perfect pose, perfect location, perfect outfit. or that perfect prop. It is how the photo  makes  you feel. If you have a shoot booked with me – don’t forget to let your child bring their favorite toy. Down the road – that Is what you want to be reminded of when you look back on your photos…that bear, that blankey that your child could not live without.
